Stomping About!
Our Mission: Through compassion, collaboration, and respect, our mission is to empower individuals of all abilities to reach their full potential while enriching the broader community through inclusion and shared growth.
Stomping About is Stomping Ground Ventures’ newest and most exciting program for individuals aged 14 and up with intellectual and developmental differences (IDD). Designed to spark joy and connection, this venture offers fun, interactive outings that help participants build friendships, boost confidence, and enjoy meaningful social experiences in the community. Studies show that spending time with peers improves mood, reduces stress, and strengthens overall well-being—and that’s exactly what Stomping About is all about!
These outings will take place in the evening and, on occasion, during weekends. Thanks to the support of the Gordon Hartman Foundation, costs for these outings will be minimal or waived altogether. Please note that fees are due at the time of registration and are non-refundable. Drop-ins are not permitted; only individuals who have registered in advance will be allowed to participate.
Participants are required to be able to feed themselves, use the toilet, and walk without assistance, able to tolerate noisy and crowded areas. Those who may pose a flight risk are not eligible. Smoking and alcohol are not permitted in the program. Participants or their families are responsible for transportation to and from outings.
Applications and waivers must be completed prior to signing up for any of the outings.
We’re also looking for energetic volunteers, ages 16 and older, to join the fun as mentors and buddies—creating laughter, friendship, and memories that last a lifetime!
Please click on the application, waiver and or volunteer link. We are so excited to get STOMPING ABOUT!
