Stomping Ground Ventures, Inc is expanding, and we need your help to bring our vision to life.

Nestled on 25 peaceful acres in Wilson County, our new home at 3333 County Road 320, Floresville, Texas is more than just a property—it’s sacred ground with a rich history of family, faith, and community.

Once part of the historic Box J Dairy owned by John’s family, this land was transformed in the late 1960s into a beloved local gathering place known as the Wilson County Park (privately owned). For decades, it served as a backdrop for family gatherings, picnics, camping trips, and lively dances, bringing joy and connection to generations of local residents.

In 1987, William Lynch, with the support of his wife and seven trustees, purchased the property from Daniel and Irene Garcia and established Mission Valley Mission Camp and Park. Through weekend retreats and weeklong summer camps, they shared the love of God with countless children and adults planting seeds of faith and service that grew strong.

In April 2024, the trustees generously gifted this land to Stomping Ground Ventures to continue God’s work through a new mission: empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live, work, and thrive in a place where they are truly valued.

At the center of this growth is our on-site pavilion, a key space where participants gather for life skills training, meals, creative workshops, job readiness activities, and community events. With your support, we can transform this pavilion into a fully equipped, accessible, and welcoming hub for year-round use.

Now, it’s our turn to steward this special land with care and purpose—building a community where ability is celebrated, inclusion is the norm, and everyone has a place to belong.
